Last Man on Earth: Season 2, Episode 2: The Boo
This was very different than last week. The Last Man on Earth had me sad last week, but they definitely redeemed themselves this week. I still think the name is misleading though. Even more so considering the brief (probably one episode only) Will Ferrell cameo. That’s three other men, besides Phil. I’m kind of worried about the return of the rest of the group, to be honest. Phil needs to be able to shine since he’s alone with Carol. He’s the best part of the show and definitely the driving force behind pretty much everything that happens.
What I do want to see though, is the way the group will react to Carol causing the first onscreen death on the show. I’m hoping she’ll get alienated like Phil so they can be exiled together. The two of them can definitely make the show proceed in a favorable fashion. Phil does some idiotic things, but those things bring the laughs when he has room to maneuver. I just love his hijinks. He has the worst plans in the world, but sometimes he comes out on top like he did when he found Carol. Like the old saying goes: “Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.”
