September 2015 LootCrate – Geek Culture at its finest!

Today I’m reviewing this month’s LootCrate. For those who are not familiar with the name, LootCrate is one of the monthly subscription boxes that have become increasingly popular as of late. Each month has a different themed crate, and this month’s theme is SUMMON; focusing on such things as Pokémon, HearthStone, and more.

With all of the hype surrounding this month’s crate, I expected some pretty awesome loot! Alas, this wasn’t the case. The biggest item in the crate is a wool Pikachu hat. While it is cute, it is clearly something meant for younger subscribers (the size is somewhat small). Next is a LootCrate Exclusive model replica of the 1967 Chevy Impala from the series Supernatural. About the size of a “hot wheels” toy car, it’s actually pretty detailed! I might have been more excited about this if I were a fan of the show (never seen a single episode). Next two items are geared towards the Blizzard card game HearthStone. One is a stress ball, modeled after a hearthstone, and the other is a redeemable code for a card pack within the game. Not much to say about the quality of the cards as I don’t play the game. And lastly, I favorite item in this month’s crate is a 2 to 3 inch statue of Homer from The Simpsons dressed as a genie! The statue itself is made of hard plastic and is a golden color. Perfect for any Simpsons fan!

Overall this month’s LootCrate was a tad lackluster. My only hope is that next month’s Halloween edition makes up for this one.
