GeekHaven Reviews covers movies, TV shows, anime, video games, books and comics — geek culture at its finest. Here is how our reviews work.
How we score
Every review ends with a Verdict score out of 10. The score reflects the reviewer’s honest overall impression — how well the thing does what it sets out to do, and how much we think it’s worth your time and money.
- 9–10 — Exceptional. Drop what you’re doing.
- 7–8 — Great. Recommended with minor reservations.
- 5–6 — Decent. For fans of the genre or franchise.
- 3–4 — Flawed. Approach with caution.
- 1–2 — Avoid. We watched/played it so you don’t have to.
Our rules
- We finish what we review. Full seasons, full campaigns, full books — no drive-by takes.
- Spoilers get flagged. Episode reviews discuss the episode; anything beyond is marked.
- Scores are never sold. If we ever receive a review copy or sponsorship, we say so in the review.
- Old reviews stand. Scores reflect the time they were written; we don’t retro-edit opinions.
